Excellent post very thought provoking. I’ve been wrestling with a question that you might have some insight on. I took up the morning pages habit 6 months ago and have been going strong. My question relates to how it fits in with the big “being a writer" picture. If I can only carve out a few hours (similar you your situation early on) is the time I spend on morning pages a good ROI? Or should I use that time to work on actual writing towards being published?

I know morning pages has been helpful in working through a lot of personal development issues, but if it’s taking time away from writing with the goal of publishing, then I’m thinking it needs to be out further down the priority ladder.

Would love your insight. Is all writing created equal?
